Expand your palate and stretch your mind while learning to taste wine like a pro in this enlightening and fun class suitable for all levels. Developed by Chiara Shannon, WSET Advanced sommelier and RYT 500 certified yoga professional, The Yogi Sommelier Mindful Wine Tasting Course incorporates basic principles of yoga, mindfulness and the disciplined approach to wine tasting as taught to professional sommeliers.
This class builds upon the basics taught in Mindful Wine 101: Taste with Intention and advances with an in-depth look at organic, Biodynamic and natural wines. You will learn key wine terms and the significance of each designation, as well as basic markers of taste and style. This class also delves into topics of environmental sustainability in farming, transparency in winemaking, and ethics in the wine business. You will come away with a deeper appreciation of wine and a working knowledge that can empower you to make more infomed choices as a consumer or professional.
