MINDFUL WINE TASTING
Expand your palate and stretch your mind while learning to taste wine like a pro! Developed by Chiara Shannon, WSET Certified Sommelier and RYS 500 yoga instructor, The Yogi Sommelier's Mindful Wine Tasting Course incorporates the principles of yoga, mindfulness and the disciplined approach to wine tasting as taught to professional sommeliers in an enlightening and fun class suitable for all levels.
The practices of yoga and mindfulness ground us in the present moment and help us cultivate greater awareness. Basic practices of breath control, focusing on the present, and becoming a witness to our sense experience are fundamental to tasting wine. With Chiara as your guide in a relaxed and fun environment, you will learn how to navigate your sense memory, discover new pathways of wine appreciation, and emerge with the skill set and language of a wine professional.
A typical class lasts 60-90 min and includes:
-Yoga and/or Meditation
-Explanation of Mindful Wine Tasting
-Guided Tasting of Three Wines
-Copy of the Yogi Sommelier Mindful Wine Tasting Guide
This class is perfect for yoga studios and wellness establishments, as well as hotels, retail shops, wellness retreats, corporate events and can be customized as needed for private bookings.
