2016 BAINBRIDGE AND CATHCART "LA DANSEUSE" PETILLANT NATUREL ROSE VIN DE FRANCE, FRANCE
80% Grolleau, 20% Cabernet Franc
Practicing Biodynamic Toby Bainbridge may be one of the new kids on the block among winemakers in Loire Valley but he's making wines in the old school way, farming Biodynamically and using traditional techniques to make fun and funky natural wines. All fruit is hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts. Fermentation continues in bottle with nothing added. A blend of Grolleau and Cabernet Franc, this delightful and fresh rose bubbly is riddled, disgorged and hand-bottled withe a touch of fizz in the pet nat style. It's delicate, with pleasing strawberry and red fruit notes, lightly sparkling and oh so drinkable!
2017 FURLANI BIANCO ALTO ADIGE, ITALY
Chardonnay unlike any other! On the hills overlooking the town of Trento, Furlani is a small farm and winery bringing a creative approach to very traditional methods and making unexpected, totally exciting natural wines that are a joy to drink. All stages of production, from growing the grapes to making the wine are done by hand and with respect to nature, the environment and animals. The wines are unfiltered with no added yeast, sugar or any chemicals whatsoever. With notes of citrus, apple skin and yeast with slightly nutty undertones, this is a refreshing take on Chardonnay to enjoy with so many foods. The pairing possibilities are endless.
2016 REVEILLE "WHITE SPIRIT" MACABEU COTES CATALANES, FRANCE

France Crispeels is originally from Belgium where she studied the humanities and worked in the arts and in business administration. After her son was born in 2000, she began oenology school in Marseille. The rest is history. She is now based in the French Pyrenees in the village of Cassagnes in the Roussillon, where she Biodynamically farms several vineyards with a diversity of soils. This vineyard encompasses 8.6 hectares of cool terroirs, in the upper Valley of l'Agly. Soils are mostly gneiss and granite and the climate hot and dry. This white is clean and crisp with a salty minerality and notes of grapefruit rind, easy to drink and well-paired with food, especially fresh sheep’s milk cheese. Unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur. Retail: $24
2016 PURITY CALAVERAS COUNTY MOURVEDRE ROSE, SIERRA FOOTHILLS, CALIFORNIA
Noel Diaz is Founder and Winemaker of Purity Wine, an urban winery in the San Francisco Bay area focused on naturally made, "pure" wines. These wines are finding spots right and left in SF, NY and LA's hippest restaurants and wine bars. Noel's mission says it all: "Crafted from grapes of uncompromising quality, with minimal intervention and great deference to soil, place and vintage.” Nodding to the great roses of Bandol, this rose is pure Mourvedre that was 100% whole-cluster-pressed and foot-tread with 48 hour maceration. The fruit comes from an organically farmed vineyard with a south-facing aspect in the hills of Calaveras County featuring loamy soils over granite, schist, volcanic rock and quartz. Delicious, food-friendly and as natural as can be, with negligible sulfur.
2017 MEINKLANG "BURGENLANDRED" BURGENLAND, AUSTRIA

Located in Seewinkel, a remote enclave on the eastern side of Lake Neusidl near the Hungarian border, Meinklang is more than just a vineyard and winery; it is a fully self-sustaining family farm and eco-community. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner and Goethe, the Michlits family led by Anneliese and Werner Mitchlit took over their family farm over 20 years ago with dreams of a complete agricultural and viticultural project that exists in perfect harmony with nature. They began with organic cultivation, and converted to Biodynamics 10 years later. In addition to wine production, they raise cattle (the pride of the farm is a herd of Angus cattle, which provide manure for fertilizer) as well as many other heirloom crops and wild insect colonies. Their vineyards are surrounded by natural ponds and cover crops of wild herbs and grasses. This combined with the wild insects, bees especially; promote healthy soils and natural pollination for a diverse ecosystem. Wines ferment exclusively with native yeasts and made with minimal intervention. Thieir Burgunlandred is a delicious blend of traditional Austrian varietals. It is medium-bodied with a nice mix of red fruit, black fruit and earthy notes. Delicious on its own and with many foods. Vibrant, juicy and easy to drink. Retail: $16
2015 VALL LLACH "EMBRUIX" PRIORAT, SPAIN
42% Garnache, 24% Cariñena, 22% Merlot, 12% Syrah
This wine comes from the hills outside Barcelona in Priorat, the most important wine region of Catalunya, Spain. “Embruix” (pronounced ‘embroosh’) means “bewitching” in Catalan. Along with the symbol of a full moon on the wine’s label, the name is a reference to this winery’s interest in Biodynamics, a holistic system of agriculture and winemaking that is governed by the lunar calendar. Sourced from estate vines primarily 15 to 25 years old, this Spanish red blend displays is deep red in color with aromas and flavors of plum, blackberry, clove and cracked black pepper accented by notes of cocoa, cherry and black licorice on the finish. Naturally low yields make for a concentrated, flavor-packed red that pairs perfectly with charcuterie and cheese, barbecue, stews and braises. Or a bite of dark chocolate… Retail: $25
